About me
I’ve had a long and varied career spanning over 30 years, as a Speech and Language Therapist in the NHS with a variety of roles as a clinician, a manager and an educator. In my final year of working, I also managed a health improvement team and a team supporting refugees from Syria and Afghanistan, under the Home Office resettlement scheme.
Since leaving the NHS in 2019 at the age of 60, I have retrained as a Coach and Facilitator. Using these additional skills and knowledge, I am now leading a portfolio existence, balancing employment, volunteering and other interests to create a fulfilled, flexible life.
I have worked with a community team to help them understand their individual and collective strengths and help them define their purpose more clearly, and designed and delivered workshops for adults with mental health difficulties.
Working with another coach, I have also designed and delivered successful and highly evaluated workshops for those thinking about retirement, those about to retire and those who have been retired for a few years. I have volunteered as a trustee and chair for a small charity in Glasgow and provided interview and career coaching for another charity that supports women into employment.
